When attempting to describe one's self, it is inevitable that one will come across a fork in the road -- a philosophical moment brought about by the human condition. According to Schleiermacher, successful practice of the art of interpretation requires an understanding of both the grammatical and psychological elements of discourse. In other words, if someone is attempting to use words to describe one's self within the sad finitude of human understanding, the words are fated to fall inadequate. But, truth is classically defined as "adaequatio rei et intellectus" ["the intellect (of the knower) must be adequate to the thing (known)"]. Thus, truth is elusive. What goes into writing will not be adequate enough to depict the intricacies of the thoughts of one's mind.

Despite being an exercise in futility, I have attempted to label myself nonetheless as "The Comic Chromantic". What does it mean to be "The Comic Chromantic"?. The word "chromantic" is my portmanteau of the words "chroma" (Greek word for "color") and "romantic". Put all the elements together to breathe meaning unto it: "a person with an idealized love for color and comics"
